Kevin joined Lifestyle Home Builders in 2004 as the Land Acquisition Specialist and eventually was promoted to President in 2008. In 2016, he purchased Lifestyle Homes when the founder, Lloyd Poe, retired. He is a big believer in servant leadership and recognizes that the most valuable contribution he can make to the company is to ensure that the right people are in the right roles. “Then I get out of the way and let our great people be great!”
The most favorite part of the job … is seeing the people on our team excel in what they do.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d be in a teaching role. I’ve served as a teaching volunteer in various capacities, and I’ve always found it quite fulfilling.
Favorite hobbies … Motorcycle riding and anything with water.
Dream vacation … I’d love to learn how to operate a sailboat, so one of my dreams is to spend at least a week on a working sailboat in the Caribbean.
Fun fact: I’m a family person. There is a sign in my office that says, “Family is everything. Everything else is just everything else.”
Lori helps our clients through the selection process—one area of the home at a time. Selections can often be an overwhelming process. But with Lori’s guidance, she helps our customers choose interior and exterior materials, fixtures and finishes at a manageable pace. She wants to ensure that designing your new home stays fun and exciting.
The most favorite part of the job … The Design Studio gives me the opportunity to help the homeowners find their unique style and make it come to life. That’s the best part of my job.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d be a counselor, which is kind of what I am to our clients.
Favorite hobbies … Cooking, boating and water skiing.
Dream vacation … Relaxing on a white sandy beach under an umbrella.
Fun fact: I’m a self-proclaimed “big chicken” because I get scared easily. I’m scared of my own shadow and still scared of the dark. My family takes great pleasure in this and often will hide, waiting for the opportunity to startle me just to hear me scream.
Corey plans, directs and oversees the operations of Lifestyle Home Builders ensuring the development and implementation of efficient and cost-effective systems to meet our clients’ current and future needs. We have a great team, and they make it fun to come to work.
The most favorite part of the job … is building things. Whether it’s homes, systems or work teams, whenever I’m building, I’m enjoying my job the most.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle. I’d still build houses as I really enjoy the process.
Favorite hobby… Watching the Virginia Tech Hokies play football. I also enjoy traveling, fishing and pickleball.
Dream vacation… Sunny and 85 with my Wife! The destination isn’t important, as long as we’re traveling.
Fun fact: Always wait 30 minutes after thunder before going outside.
Jen acts as the guardian of all things financial throughout the new home construction process. She is the liaison between our customers, the company and the lenders, settlement agencies, consultants, and tax professionals. From securing the lot and handling the construction loan to facilitating all the moving parts to meeting the closing date, she is “with the home” through the entire process.
The most favorite part of the job … is coming to work every day and making things happen.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d work as a bookkeeper or librarian in a small town.
Favorite hobbies … I still thoroughly enjoy being a mom to my (adult) son and a dog-mom to our two dogs. I’ve also always been fond of camping and antiquing—having done both since I was little.
Dream vacation … Since I am English, Scottish and Irish, my dream vacation is touring the entire United Kingdom. I am fourth generation U.S. born, and I can trace my heritage back to Catherine Howard, King Henry VIII’s fifth wife.
Fun fact: I’ve always loved building and have long been fascinated with architecture, history and antiques. They speak to me, and I admire the artistry in their conception and perseverance. That passion became my career.
Henry works as a construction services liaison. As an estimator, Henry’s days are filled with budgets and spreadsheets. In his role in purchasing, he ensures that the field team has everything they need to build the home—from materials to permits. He also works behind the scenes to keep up with current market prices for labor and materials.
The most favorite part of the job … is tweaking things. There is always something new to learn or a better way.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d still be working with Lifestyle, albeit indirectly with my dad’s siding company.
Favorite hobbies … Collecting sports cards, fishing, and spending time with my family and friends.
Dream vacation … Bora Bora.
Fun fact: If I could be in a video game for a day, I would be the character Kratos in “God of War.” My son and I played this game for hours when he was younger, and we always joked about being in the game.
Patrick ensures that our customers are taken care of after the sale by handling any repairs that are needed under our new home warranty program. He facilitates this by scheduling the workday with the contractors for our homeowners so their warranty repairs are completed efficiently and with minimal interruption.
The most favorite part of the job … is troubleshooting warranty concerns. The more unusual, the better.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d be a sheriff’s deputy.
Favorite hobbies … Being around my family, taking day trips and hunting.
Dream vacation … A cabin next to a river in the mountains during early fall.
Fun fact: In my childhood through early teen years, I threw several no-hitters and always batted clean-up because I could hit dingers.
Bill oversees new home construction in our market north of the James River. He manages all facets of construction from pre-construction meetings through the building process and the customer’s new home orientation.
The most favorite part of the job … I enjoy being a part of building our customer’s homes and seeing the homes come to life, especially in the latter stages of construction when the finishes and fixtures are installed. I cannot think of much that is more rewarding than that.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d still be in construction and in the field. If for whatever reason, that was no longer an option, I’d take a shot at hosting a few episodes of Man vs. Food.
Favorite hobbies … Fishing, snorkeling and playing golf, and above all else, any activity that involves my family.
Dream vacation … At least two weeks in Europe capped off with some time hopping the Greek Islands. I was all over the Pacific and Middle East with the U.S. Navy, and I’ve traveled throughout the Caribbean and United States at other points in my life. Europe is still on my bucket list.
Fun fact: My name and hometown were stenciled onto the side of an EA-6B Prowler (jet) for two years while I was in the U.S. Navy. I was a Plane Captain stationed with VAQ-139 based out of Whidbey Island, Washington. During that stint, my carrier group spent over six months in the Persian Gulf as part of Operation Desert Watch.
Shawn plays an integral role with Lifestyle Homes; he turns the visions our customers have for their homes into reality. His start date is November 15, 1999, which makes him the longest standing Area Construction Manager. His extensive experience is incredibly valuable as he trains and mentors new field managers. Shawn is an avid fisherman and loves the Outer Banks.
The most favorite part of the job … is seeing a smile on our clients’ faces when they see their homes are complete.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d live in the Outer Banks of North Carolina (OBX) and work on a charter boat.
Favorite hobbies … Surf fishing in the OBX. I also enjoy doing anything with my kids and grandkids that they want to do.
Dream vacation … I’d go to the Caribbean and take multiple fishing charters.
Fun fact: For nearly 20 years, I volunteered with a local rescue squad. I was an EMT, operated the crash truck and was the Captain of the Sunday night crew.

The most favorite part of the job … Working with a focused and qualified team is very satisfying. I also enjoy seeing my customers find a home that makes such a big impact on their lives. I get excited by their excitement!
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I would still be a boat captain, navigating the waters of Florida and the Bahamas.
Favorite hobbies … I enjoy boating, water sports and playing catch with my sons.
Dream vacation … That’s easy! I’d fly to Marsh Harbor, Abaco, Bahamas, and have the taxi driver take me to the marina, where my 23’ Albury boat is docked and ready. I’d load up the boat and head over to my cottage’s dock in Hope Town. I’d spend the next two weeks cruising around the Sea of Abaco and hitting the beaches and bars we love.
Fun fact: In my previous career, I was the captain of a 92’ private yacht. I was lucky to follow this passion for many years and have some great memories from that experience. It was my childhood dream, and I feel fortunate to have accomplished this

Fun fact: I traveled to Peru as part of the Light Up the World program. There, we installed solar panels for people who didn’t have electricity.

Favorite hobbies … Writing and podcasting about football, watching sports (Go Packers, Hokies, and Caps!), exercising, and hanging with my daughter.

If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d still be a college student finishing my degree in graphic design at VCU.
Favorite hobby … I love making things, whether it’s painting, taking photos or doing crafts. My hands need to stay busy.
Dream vacation … A month-long trip to Europe. I’d spend the month visiting as many museums as I could, eating all the good food I could handle and shopping until my splurge account went dry!
Fun fact: When I was a kid, there were several times when I fell asleep at the dinner table after my parents told me that I couldn’t be excused until I’d eaten all my vegetables.
Tim works with the construction services team, and when it comes to plans and permitting, he’s the liaison between the field and office.
The most favorite part of the job … being with a fantastic group of people as we all collectively work toward the common goal of giving our clients what they want in their homes.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d travel and enrich myself with copious amounts of culture as I am eager to learn so much more about what life has to offer.
Favorite hobbies … I’m pretty “outdoorsy,” but I prefer to play golf, mountain bike or go fishing.
Dream vacation … I’d love the opportunity to climb Mt. Everest, even if it was just to the base camp.
Fun fact: Currently, I am on a quest to grow my food and reduce my carbon footprint through alternative energy.
If I wasn’t working at Lifestyle…. I would like to be volunteering my time rocking babies in the NICU when their parents cant be there.

As the accounting assistant, Kristia handles the accounts payable, but she also manages much of the behind-the-scenes items that occurs while we are building our customers’ homes, including trade
partner documentation, submits for utility connections, and ensures that we are compliant with insurance requirements. Kristia also oversees the closing desk, which guarantees that the homes we build get to closing.
The most favorite part of the job … is the atmosphere and the people.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d travel the world!
Favorite hobby … Trying different foods.
Dream vacation … I have three: The Maldives, Iceland and Greece.
Fun fact: I have lived in eight different states: Hawaii, California, Illinois, Minnesota, North Carolina, Maryland and, of course, Virginia.

A Jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one. I have to wear many different hats throughout my day to day at work and they don’t always fall underneath my job title. This is what I love about my work, it always keeps me on my toes and makes life more interesting. I never know what problems I will get the opportunity to help solve on a day to day basis. This allows me to get creative with our team and we always find a way to solve it.
The most favorite part of the job … I learn something new everyday without fail. This keeps me stimulated and motivated as a employee and I love it.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I would be renovating an old asbestos riddle building on broad street in downtown Richmond.
Favorite hobbies … Hunting, archery, Jiu Jitsu, exploring the blue ridge mountains for the views most people miss.
Dream vacation … Would be Bow hunting Elk in Utah.
Fun fact: I can call in a turkey with nothing but my mouth.
As a field manager, Chris oversees the day-to-day operations on the jobsite. He manages the constant flow of subcontractors and ensures that all the details—big and small—are completed to safeguard that our customers get the homes of their dreams.
The most favorite part of the job … is making families happy and knowing that they will make wonderful memories in their new homes.
If I wasn’t working for Lifestyle … I’d still be working in construction. It’s what I enjoy.
