Easy Thanksgiving Table Centerpieces

You’ve finally moved into your Lifestyle Home Builders new home in Chesterfield VA, and now is the perfect time to celebrate with a great Thanksgiving meal with your family. Show off your new home and show off your table decorations with some simple but stand-out arrangements.

If you’re worried about not having enough matching dishes and plates for everyone, don’t be afraid to mix and match. You can alternate settings so it looks more intentional. To pull the set together, use fabric napkins that are all the same — and cheaper to purchase — ideally in a color that pulls the mismatched sets together or works with the fall theme. Keep the table decor simple with some garland running along the center of the table, interspersed with candle holders and persimmons or oranges for a charming and more casual bohemian look.

A simple — and mostly edible — table arrangement uses apples, pears, and nuts still in their shells in casual arrangements along the length of the table. Add in a few berry branches or green magnolia leaves to tie it all together for a simple yet surprisingly lovely display. It also makes a nice change from the usual pumpkins and gourds, while still using seasonal fruits.

Of course, if you do want to use pumpkins, look for some of the white and orange pumpkins, as well as the deeper reddish pumpkins or even a few acorn squash, ranging from small to medium sizes, to create a simple centerpiece. Use odd numbers of squash/pumpkin and intersperse some candles and pinecones, all placed atop a crisp white table runner. For the candles, a trio of large white candles looks lovely, or consider using colored glass votive candle holders in red or green for some additional pops of color.

If you like farmhouse chic, keep it simple with white pumpkins, a local pottery vase for the center, branches of eucalyptus arranged along the table, joining the vase and pumpkins, and votive candles in Mason jars scattered throughout. Use seagrass or sisal placemats and sage-green linen napkins.

Finally, for something a bit more glamorous, if you have gold tableware or copper cups, use those against a white tablecloth and try to bring in a few more gold or copper accents with candleholders to really make the table glitter. A garland made of eucalyptus leaves, berries, flowers, pears, and tiny pumpkins helps create a lush display. A white centerpiece vase filled with white and blush flowers with their greenery adds a great finishing touch.

The dining table in your new home in Chesterfield VA is likely to be filled with family and food, so you don’t need to go overboard with your display. Smaller, arrangements running the length of the table, without taking up too much space, are still eye-catching without being annoying when you’re trying to find a place for the cranberry sauce. No matter how you style your table for Thanksgiving, be sure to enjoy the chance to share your new home with your family.
