Our Blog

As a respected home builder in Richmond VA, we believe in the importance of supporting and reinvesting in the community. It’s not enough to build homes; we want to build homes in communities where people want to move and want to stay. One way we do this is through getting involved in local charities. We’re excited to join Anthem LemonAid this summer on July 20, to help raise funds for Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

For more than 20 years, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has sponsored Anthem LemonAid, an annual summer event where people of all ages across Richmond and surrounding areas host their own lemonade stands to help raise money for the children fighting cancer at Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at VCU. The nationally ranked hematology and oncology services at CHoR work to help children facing cancer throughout Virginia and further. Advanced treatment options and a dedicated approach to caring for the whole child help provide the best treatment possible.

Individuals, community groups, and businesses will all be participating July 19-21, 2024. At LifeStyle Home Builders, we’re looking forward to doing our part by setting up lemonade stands at each of our model homes on Saturday, July 20, from 1-4 PM. Come quench your thirst, do a good deed, and potentially find your new home!

Our model homes are located at:

  • Legacy Park at Magnolia Green 18548 Cove Creek Drive, Moseley, VA 23120
  • Wyntrebrooke Village 8106 Lyndale Drive, Richmond, VA 23235
  • Lake Margaret at The Highlands 8524 McKibben Drive, Chesterfield, VA 23838

We’re hoping to raise $1,500 on July 20th at our model homes, but even if you can’t make it, you can donate online. In total, Children’s Hospital Foundation is hoping to raise $200,000 through the LemonAid event with donations already coming in before the lemonade stands have gone up. We hope everyone will be feeling generous and help CHoR keep doing their important work.

From front yards, to shop fronts, to model homes, Richmond is turning out to raise money to help children lead longer, healthier lives in the fight against cancer. As a home builder in Richmond VA, we are happy to do our part to help in this important battle and invite you to join us in supporting the kids at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.
