Our Homebuilding Process

Between the news and the limited listings you’re seeing everywhere, it’s hard to miss the housing shortage. Even many new home builders are short on inventory. However, you’re in luck! We’re a new home builder in Chesterfield VA and we have homes available! Be sure to check our website regularly — we update in real time — and you’ll always find a great mix of construction, pre-sale, under construction, and quick move-in homes available. Plus, we have a great homebuilding process that keeps you up to date throughout the entire experience, helping you feel involved but not overwhelmed.

We think of our building process as an 11-step process, but realistically, for you the home buyer, it’s much easier. The first few steps and the last couple of steps involve you more directly, while the rest is in our capable hands.

It starts with the search process online. Explore our website, from the galleries to the range of home designs available and find the homes that speak to you and look like they could easily fit your lifestyle. Next, make an appointment and come visit our model home. While it may not be the specific home design you’re interested in, it will give you an overall sense of our quality and craftsmanship and our attention to detail. It will also let us tell you about the kinds of features that are standard and what kinds of options are available. This gives you a real sense for what it would be like to live in one of our homes.

The third step is making that final choice and moving from the paperwork to getting started on the actual process, which includes the fourth step, personalizing your home. This is one of the reasons that people choose new homes, because you know from the start that you’re getting a home that fits your personal tastes and you won’t have to change anything the way you would with a pre-existing home. From wall color to finishes to flooring and more, you get to choose. This turns a standard home into a truly unique home that is a great representation of you.

Now the building journey begins. Foundations are laid, frames and walls go up, and electricity lines are run throughout the home. This is where some of your personalizations start to come in, from exterior finishes to interior layouts and arrangements. Next up is the drywall to start making it all look like a real home, helping you get a better visualization of what it’s going to look like very soon. It’s at this point that we bring you in for the pre-settlement orientation, which helps get you prepared for the big day when you finally take possession of the house. The next thing you know, it’s closing day! The house may now be all yours, but we’re still there to provide customer care, answering questions and helping you get the most out of your brand new home.

That takes us to the final step, in which you get to live in your home and give us your opinion about the process and the final home itself. As a new home builder in Chesterfield VA, we want to make everyone’s experience a positive one, so we take feedback seriously. It’s important to us that you feel informed and happy throughout the building process and that the final home is exactly what you wanted or better yet, exceeds your expectations. So, if you’re looking for a new home, check out our website today and see the variety of homes we have in various stages of construction. Then contact us and let us help you create your ideal home.
