School Profile: Cosby High School
Chesterfield County Public Schools are well known for quality education and innovation. One of the best high schools in the system is Cosby High School on Fox Club Parkway in Midlothian, VA.
The school serves more than 2,100 students in grades 9-12. Each grade level has its own section of the sprawling building.
Cosby High School was named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Secretary of Education in 2015. Its students consistently achieve high levels of success in their pursuits. Recent achievements by Cosby students include winning a National History Day regional competition and placing third in a statewide debate competition at Liberty University.
The high school features excellent academic programs including specialized education for both gifted and special needs students. Other programs include the Early College Academy and driver’s education classes. The school’s innovative Health Sciences Specialty Center prepares students for careers in healthcare.
Extracurricular activities include sports, a dance team, cheerleading, a variety of clubs, field trips and travel abroad.
